Post in the correct forum

Having seen El Tino's sticky of the same title as this thread, I wonder if this is the correct forum to make a post about posting in the correct forum.

Is there another forum titled "Posting In The Correct Forum" anywhere or does posting in the correct forum, by it's very nature, have an element of randomness about it..?

Furthermore, bearing in mind that posting in the correct forum is obviously important to the admins, does it also follow that actually staying on topic has equal importance...? Or is that too random a concept, even for the Random forum..?

Will this thread actually stay on topic, I ask myself..? If previous experience is anything to go by, I expect this thread to soon be buried under a deluge of mindless asides that contribute nothing to the discussion but only serve to attract an exponentially increasing number of responses along the lines of "LOL".

Oh, and Tino's thread was due to people using the quiz forum for kudos give away threads. This was when we had 50 kudos to hand out and people were giving them left and right so he made a forum specifically for kudos. lol

That's no different than being tickled by a strange banana.

Or were people posting quizzes and kudos give aways in the random forum when they have their own forum.

Both. and some people post everything in random.
which means mods move stuff around to the right forum.

Absolutely not because a handful of users appear to be on a mission to derail every single thread on this site and make it all about them. Thus even the most interesting of threads suddenly disintigrates into smiley faces and LOLs.

If i had my way i would remove all points for derailment.
