I use Mozilla Firefox for my internet browsing, but I keep getting frequent IE7 popups. This is pretty weird considering I rarely use IE7 to surf. On both browsers I have popups blocked, and on IE7 I've put the popup security up to maximum and cleared all the sites that I allowed popups for, but I still keep getting them, and they're always from different sites.

Aside from uninstalling IE7, what can I do to stop the popups? They're really annoying.

Sounds to me like you have spyware. Classic, classic symptom.

Download and install Spybot:

Run the program and install all updates.

The reboot into Safe Mode (reboot the computer and start tapping the F8 key before Windows starts to load. You will get the Advanced Options menu. Select Safe Mode.)

Run a full Spybot scan and a full antivirus scan.

Reboot the computer.
