Pink Floyd Question

Pink Floyd has a quote that goes:
"On her way to a Marilyn Manson concert"

Does anybody know what song this was in, or in what context it was used?
I'm trying to figure it out, but can't find the answer anywhere.
It'd be much appreciated.


(I'm asking because my favorite band is Pink Floyd, and my girlfriend's favorite band/artist is Marilyn Manson. :P )

Historically speaking, I don't see how that's possible. Floyd hasn't written any new music since before Manson was out as far as I know.

Pink Floyd last came out with something in 1994, but the had a charity concert in 2005 (It could have been a concert quote?).

Yeah, Division Bell came out in 94. I thought it came out in the late 80's. The concert, depending on what music they played, there might be something. I just scoured Division Bell album lyrics and didn't find any thing.

And yes, Manson's been doing stuff since about 89, but I have a very hard time thinking that much of anything he had to offer was of any importance to Roger Waters until Portrait of an American Family, but by all means, that would fit with something in the time frame of both Division Bell and the subsequent concerts that followed it (there have been many)

It's just so weird that that is the only thing with the quote. Is that even a complete sentence?

I have no idea what this is from. I assume the quote is not from a song but maybe a cover by Marilyn Manson and he changed the lyrics. Or someone using the name Pink Floyd used this as a quote in another forum or an article.

But as far as I know, none of the lyrics from any Floyd song has said this. Though, I could be wrong.

Well, I guess you can be forgiven. At least I'm not nuts, I can't recall any of it either.

Doing a search for the quote makes it pretty clear that it was Pink Floyd that said it though. And I even tried to do a search with Roger Waters and the quote and it doesn't fit in.... but yeah, that doesn't mean much. I don't know anything about his solo music anyway.

I don't think Marilynn Manson would have done that. Or if he did, that the quote would be seen as a Pink Floyd quote. Also, that brings up the question of: did Pink Floyd ever use the lyrics "on her way to a Pink Floyd concert"? If not, then I'm not too sure Marilynn changing lyrics makes too much sense.

However, you can still be very right.
