I just finished reading Stephen King's Pet Sematary and I was really enjoying it...until the very end. I thought the ending was really poor and unsatisfactory. Wondering if anyone else has read it and what they think of it...

Its the last book for Stephen King that i read. Its so scary But i couldn't stop reading it till i got to the last chapter. Its full of surprising events, the ending was weird but Darrrrrrrrrn sooooooooo good. Luv it!

Theory is good, but it doesn't prevent things from existing.

did u not think the ending felt a bit sudden? and what annoyed/saddened me the most is that ((PLOT SPOILER)) ellie is now left without a mum as well! and her dad has gone insane...whats gonna happen to her?

Yeah sure. It was too sudden but Stephen King is known for that. U can never get a peaceful ending and rarely ones get safe or not harmed in anyway at the end.

I saw the movie, wasn't at all fond of the ending, Stephen King could have done better.

Yes, imo the ending did leave a bad taste.

And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"

I haven't read that for years, I have forgotten the ending. I shall have to read it again.

I enjoy all Stephen Kings books, I'm an avid fan.

I've never read the book, however, I have seen the movie several times. I've heard the book is totally different then the movie. I hate it in the movie when Gage gets hit. I just about bawl everytime, probably because I have a little son of my own and that's my biggest fear. Ugh...

Def. one of his creepier tales.

And I disagree with babylon. He has a lot of stories that end well, in my opinion.

Saw the film when i was very young (about seven, Yes my real father had no problem with that but he's an arse so lets not worry!) Read the book when i was much older and have to say i thought it was excellent. I have read pretty much all Stephen Kings Proper novels, not so keen on his Short story compilations, i like to get to know my characters! I personally had no problem with the ending other than to say that no one would really do the same thing to their wife after seeing what it had done to their son!!
Be realistic Stephen!!!

I read the book. I was really engrossed in every moment of it. The ending creeped me out totally! To this day, I still re-live the ending. It had an impression upon me. I guess I'm different, though.

It was so amazing to me how Stephen King could describe a scene so well as to put me in it. I could feel, smell, be there.

If anyone would ever wish to have a beloved pet back again, this book would definitely change their minds!

You cannot be mad at someone who makes you laugh - it's as simple as that.
