I am just wondering what people have to say about this. Would you accept your child if they came out as Trans? What about your partner? Would anything change? Would you try to make things work? Or would you give up on them?

Thanks.

transgender would be if you dress and act like a person from the opposit sex, right?
well if it was a friend I guess I would accept it - no problem.
if it was a partner? well I'd accept it but I'd change partner.
I can't even imagine having a child yet, so I won't comment on that.

I don't care, just please don't try to bulls*** make me and attempt to convince me that you are indeed a woman, not that I have a problem with transgenders but if you're transgender/transsexual you're still whatever gender you were born.

I would support my child in anything he/she did, as long as he/she didn't harm itself or others. I would hope my husband/boyfriend/whatever would be as open-minded as me, but we know that isn't always the case. I would show my partner reason and logic in the choices of my child, and hope that he understands.

That's all I can/could ask for.

Whatever their major malfunction I'd just accept them because what or who they are wouldn't even be their fault in the first place.

I wouldn't look down on them

I wouldn't treat them like they're handicapped

I will always stand by my children, no matter what. Not sure about Daddy wearing dresses...that would be a bit of a problem

The gender that shows up is the gender that I feel that I am. So I am a "woman" that feels as though I am a male.

Thanks.

Why would you change partners? I am just curious.

Thanks.

Transgender are people who have "sex change", you are thinking of transvestites as people who just wear opposite sex clothes

Why would "Daddy" wearing a dress be a problem? Just curious.

oh haha...
well in that case, basically I think that if you are born a human female you should stay a human female and if you are born a human male you should stay a human male

I think the whole transsexual thing is just an extreme form of attention seeking.
