Lidocaine is VERY bad for me! My dentist now knows not to give it to me, though!

(methinks he learned his lesson!)

I just take drugs!!! Pain meds that is! Always keep a back-up stock.

Vicodin is very good, but IV Dilaudid is better. When I'm passing a kidney stone the size of Rhode Island,that's why I always ask for.

I'm scared s**tless to go the dentist.

My drug of choice for a root canal is 2 mg. IV Versed or IV Fentanyl. In order for me to stay still in a dentist's chair he's gotta mainline the drugs into me. I'd rather drop a rock on my foot than go to the dentist!

i cry if i'm in the dentist coz i am terrified. also i cry if pain gets too bad but generally i'm pretty good with pain

I cry at the dentist, too. And I'm a grown man. My hands tremble as soon as I walk in the door and get a sniff of that dentist office aroma in my nostrils. My skin gets all blotchy and I feel like throwing up. That's why he shoots me up with the good stuff. I'm a complete and total pussy when it's comes to dental work. I'm brave in all other aspects of my life, though.

I've never had a kidney stone...just an infection. But as a result of that infection, I also learned that I have only one kidney, so kidney infections are (according to my doctor!) a LOT worse for me than they ordinarily would be.

I don't know...I just know I've never been in that much pain in my life! (And if I ever get a kidney stone, I just want to be shot and put out of my misery!)
