freakwithnoleash![]() | #1 What is going on in todays music industry when a 13 year old girl can have a pop career. JO JO is a joke, how can anyone support a little girl, singing about relationships at the age of 13. It's a joke, how can music be taken seriously when it comes from a person who isn't old enough to: Drink Drive Smoke or evan have Sex. The situation is close to becoming sick. First of all she is 13. Secondly, as far as i'm concerned, "If you have the oppotunity to say something to millions of people at least say something profound" in the present situation all we hear on the radio are bollox love songs and crappy dance music, " Everybody in the club get tipsy". Whats wrong with someone telling the truth and speaking there mind. ("Some of those that burn crosses are the same that work forces") Think about it......

becki7![]() Australia | #3 Yeah well I agree with you at there age they should be singing stuff that is happening to them whether it maybe school stuff friendships things whatever but not relationship stuff they couldn't even understand .... it's crazy. We had Australian Idol last year and one of the judges were saying to a few contestants that some songs were inappropiate to sing because a) They couldn't understand the context of the song b) and because of that reason they couldn't sing that song to there full potential/meaningful. styles2281![]() Manchester, CT | #9 Well, let's see. There have been many 13 year olds singing about this (leann Rimes comes to mind) stuff. The question is, is she a good singer? I agree, to a point, that I would like to hear more musicianship and better lyrics in music, but those band are hardly popular (Rush, King Crimson, Yes, Tool, All come to mind) so it seems that the people want sex, back-beats, and simple chords. But, then look at history. MOST music has been along that line. And much of it has been written by people younger than I. So, basically, if you don't like it, don't listen to it.
