*applauds peta* Psychology studies like to use primates, its cruel and barbaric. Psychology is an abusive science, which pointless unconclusive study results. So pleased that they managed to ruin all those years of research!!!

Not to mention that they ruined two types of treatment that were proven to either cure or stop damage. They weren't just psycology labs. There were cancer labs in there as well. Most of the labs study multiple things. Destroying research is not a good thing. I'm surprised to see that you would think so.

I think Immortal Technique said it best "If you don't like the smell of burning meat then get the f**k off the planet."

The truth is humans have been killing and eating meat since they were ever created. It's human nature and animal instinct to eat meat. You can't eat meat without killing something.

And if you want to take the unnatural route then by all means but don't try to press your opinions on everyone else especially in drastic ways like PETA has done.

So you believe that people were created but not the account where God tells people hundreds of years later that it is alright to eat meat?

He said to Adam, "From the trees of the garden you may eat." Not, "Go kill whatever other creatures you wish and chow down!"

Anyways, as irrelevant as that was... I have been a vegetarian for over a decade and I support animal rights and protest animal testing every chance I get. But you will never see me supporting PETA because regardless of their motives or their methods, they have made so many people decide that all the people who care about animals are nuts. Besides that, every month they send me address labels and ask for money. I'm not sending money to people who are just going to spend it making address labels.

I the first part of your post would depend on if you believed in God and what the Bible says.

if i had a child with a desiease
and to find a cure for that desiease ment a few animals would have to be tested on in the process i wouldent have a problem with that! And i dont think there is a mother out there that would!

Well obviously and I wouldn't use that reasoning if el diablo hadn't specifically used the words, "since they were created."

I'm a mother and I would never want an animal to be tested for any reason what-so-ever. The results are not even good for anything. If the testing was so successful, we would not have so many drug recalls. It takes being used on humans to know if a drug is going to be helpful or harmful. And I think my major concern is that instead of finding animals who have troubles and trying to help them, the scientists cause harm and try to give the healthy animals the conditions they want to treat.

Jesus, for thousands, nay millions, of years, the animals on this planet brutally killed each other for food. Now we stand up on our two back legs, put cloth over our naked bodies and suddenly decide that it's wrong to kill animals for food.

Tell you what - once all the other problems of the world are solved, once no child starves, once no-one is living in fear of a bomb being dropped on their house, once no one is suffering the searing agony of cancer, then, maybe, I'll shed a tear for a battery chicken.

Then, once we've all become vegetarians, maybe we can start creating tofu wildebeast to air drop over the serengeti to move lions to a vegetarian diet too.

It is not mutually exclusive. It is possible to care about people and animals. The two are not so unrelated that turning a blind eye to one is going to help the other.

I guess I care about supporting the animal rights movements because they are so helpless and so many people are honestly unaware of their plights. People care about what the media tells them to and so a lot of important issues are never examined.

I guess since I believe humans have a second chance after death and animals don't, I really am put off when animals are killed needlessly.

Whatever. I like meat and I'd kill a rabbit or a cow if I was starving. I don't really care what the bible says. I'm not bible expert but I'm sure God gave me my canines for a reason. TO EAT MEAT!

I would kill something if I were starving, too. But I son't think ma** slaughter is right. God did tell people it was alright to eat meat, but he laid down laws about how to treat the animals and expected people to care for them well.

And I guess you aren't caring about the plight of animals because the media told you to, then? It just popped into your head of it's own accord. We are ALL controlled by the media in one way or the other. It just depends who gets to you first.

If we weren't supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat?
