I was just wondering if you can ever be too old to learn a new instrument?

I play fiddle, mandolin, drums, spoons and sing but I always wanted to play pipes. My little brother plays them and I thought it'd be rather cool if we could play pipes together.

Anyway, I know it seems greedy wanting to play all this music but I was just wondering, are you ever too old to learn a new instrument?

I personally think not, but could you ever be?

You're never to old to learn anything, especially music. Go for it, you obviously seem very musically able to have learned all those instruments so you might as well give it a go.

Never to old to learn. My friend started learning the fiddle at 49 and now 3 years later play in a fiddlers bank.

You're never too old to learn. Try to remember back when you were learning other instruments, it's a lot of hard work. If you're willing to work that hard again, go for it.

If music is your life go for it... I believe once you know a single instrument, you can play them all...

never to old to learn anything, especially if your case.
Some may be to old to learn,
due to physical or mental disabilities--at any age!

I say go for it! As long as you're physically capable, you can learn if you have a sincere interest.
