A good start for any business is to get your name out there in the market. Advertising yourself, with your USP as you’re for front. USP stands for unique selling point, which sets you apart from all your competition. Then find a decent good quality printer at reasonable prices. When I started out I found this new company Print24.co.uk which was very helpful for me, and very reliable.

will this be a online or high street store?

I work in advertising sales for a radio station and deal with a lot of independent business owners. One mistake which I see made over and over is they do not budget in advertising in their original business plan. Advertising is crucial to any new business. All mediums of advertising work well together and it doesn't have to cost a fortune.
