For the forth year in a roll I am trying to plant roses around my house....For the past 4 years the wild rabbits have eaten my plants.
I have tried everything I can think of to stop this from... putting garlic and black pepper around them to digging 10 inches down past the roots and putting a mesh fence the bunnies just dug deeper..I have had enough unless I can come up with something to stop them I may sit on my back deck with a 22 ( my 38 would make to much of a mess) and take pop shots at the bunnies I need HELP please

I had a problem with moles eating flower bulbs. Couldn't see them till it's too late.

i used to bread rabbits and i realy dont think there is an answer to this problem ,the only thing you CAN do is plant your flowers in pots,it s not the same of course but the rabbits will not bother to look for the plants then

Bobbimay, Your only recourse may be to build a raised flower-bed... but, out in your neck of the woods, the soil in it would likely dry up faster than you could water it.... And the local architecture doesn't allow something as simple as a few flower-boxes on window-sills or deck railings, with drip-irrigation?
Are these 'miniature roses' or the full-sized, grows-to-unbelievable-heights variety?

Have you tried feeding the rabbits away from your roses?

There are cultures that feed ants away from their homes to keep them from coming in...so it might work... it might be worth a shot.
good luck!

I've read that rabbits don't like dusty millers. They're plants.
