Here IMHO are the best covers of Beatle songs
1-Jeff Beck - A day in the life-n.b: This is very likely to make you blub like a little girl
link [youtube.com]
2-Oasis - I am the walrus (Orchestral version) n.b:This is very likely going to make you want to either be Liam Gallagher or punch him out.
link [youtube.com]
3-The Jimi Hendirx Experience- Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts club band. n.b: This should probably #2.
link [youtube.com]
4- The Temptations- Hey Jude. n.b: This is most likely going to make you think i'm being silly in the extreme. It's the only version i can find. The original's greatly whacky.
link [youtube.com]
5-Peter Sellars-A Hard days night. n.b:This is most likely to have been approved of by the Beatles themselves.
link [youtube.com]
6-The Zutons-Good morning good morning. n.b: This is most likely on youtube somewhere but i can't find it. It was done with G.Emerick for the 40th Anniversary of SPLHCB.
This is good too: Infact it's better than good it's Razorlight without J.Burrell. What more could anyone want...Except a world without J.Burrell. (Nof**kin'body gets forgiven for being lucky enough to f**k Kirsten Dunst). In't it cute that they got the drummer to sing it like...
link [youtube.com]
7-Fiona Apple- Across the universe. n.b:Great song greatly sung even greater video and nearly the greatestly most beautiful woman ever.
link [youtube.com]
8- The Libertines (kind of)- A day in the life. n.b:This was a suprise to me when it came on with barely any preamble at the end of the radio show for which it was recorded. See #6. I thought while it was on that they'd pulled it off with aplomb. Then i realised i didn't really know what aplomb meant so i looked it up in a dic. and it said confidence and assurance. So i was right.
link [youtube.com]
9-Siouxie and the Banshees- Dear Prudence. n.b;I think this is charmingly psychadelicious. N.BI'm copywriting that word and will sue!)
link [youtube.com]
10-Oasis-I am the walrus (unorchestrated...castorchatrated) n.b: I love how Noel gets all trippy from 4.25.
link [youtube.com]
Honoury mention: Booker T and the MG's Abbey rd. Esp. The finale

I prefer the slow ones (like all the lonely people) because they put more emotion into the words then other bands
