(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 08/21/0 - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, [Berg is a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania; former candidate for Governor and U.S. Senate in Democratic Primaries; former Chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery County; former member of Democratic State Committee; an attorney with offices in Montgomery County, PA and an active practice in Philadelphia, PA, filed a lawsuit in Federal Court today, Berg vs. Obama, Civil Action No. 08-cv-4083, seeking a Declaratory Judgment and an Injunction that Obama does not meet the qualifications to be President of the United States. Berg filed this suit for the best interests of the Democratic Party and the citizens of the United States.
Philip J. Berg, Esquire stated in his lawsuit that Senator Obama:

1. Is not a naturalized citizen; and/or

2. Lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia; and/or

3. Has dual loyalties because of his citizenship with Kenya and Indonesia.

This could put a big kink in the convention

Correct me if i am wrong, but doesn't it mean that he may not be able to be president of the united states because he is not actually a US citizen anymore/never was???

Still don't see why it matters. Why would a democrat try and disrupt his parties candidate anyway? Sounds stupid to me, petty jealousy.

there has been a big controversy over his birth certificate (is it real is it not) obama has not submitted his true copy and the one he has shown if a fake...that is one of the reasons he chose to for go public financing (he did not have to prove his birth record.) now the courts are going to make him....he has 5 days to present proof or be bared from running for President

Article Two of the Constitution sets the principal qualifications to be eligible for election as President. A Presidential candidate must:

* be a natural-born citizen of the United States;
* be at least thirty-five years old;
* have been a permanent resident in the United States for at least fourteen years.
