I really think that some should just take a little time to reread my OP, I never said was fact just common sense. Facts as I've said many time do not impress me much, having work in Fields where Supposed Facts actually did more harm than good and was retracted months and sometimes years after said facts were put up.

I've said FACTS literally kill people, so I'm not going there.

The FDA has retracted many of their FACTS for just this purpose, but only after many were either dead or critically ill.

Facts also save people.

Yes things change and we learn more and evolve and some people die because of things that were taken as fact at that point.

This is getting ridiculous.

There is indeed a difference between fact and opinion.

And no matter how smart you think you are, you can't assume things are fact just because it seems reasonable to you.

If you want to make up facts, suit yourself. If you want to think you know a subject better than people who have literally spent years studying, researching, analyzing, and experimenting, be my guest.

Just don't be surprised when other people roll their eyes at your made-up "knowledge."

You know, since animal nutrition is so easy and obvious, you should get a job over at Innova or Hill's. They could lay off their entire nutritional and scientific staff and eliminate their entire research budget and just ask you what they should put in their foods. Cause, hey, you already know!

Me? I've always preferred Intelligence.

The thing is lilbear, these people spend there lives devoted to the study of animals, If they're not qualified to decide what a fact is about an animal then who is? I have no doubt that you know alot about animals by observing what they do, but these people spend their lives observing ad studying animals.

clever got me this far then tricky got me in

I'm not belittling you at all!! I'm saying that there is a difference between fact and opinion and you seem to have grasp of it at the moment. And I'm completely gob smacked at what you're saying.

You're basically saying books and facts are worthless and common sense and everyday observations should take their place as facts are sometimes proven wrong.

Right on the head!!! finally. Now do you get my point?

I would rather debate with conviction than with facts. Convictions don't change, facts do. And how do you know that Beliefs are not facts??

If I need to have facts in front of me at every debate then I wouldn't be arguing my convictions, just those of the people that wrote the facts. And I'd rather debate my own mind and thoughts, not that of other's.

I respect your position. I myself have to go with wisdom, but hey neither is wrong in opinion.

I think it's safe to say that lilbear has never studied any subject in any depth whatsoever.

If she did, she would have some respect for education, knowledge, research, data, facts, and analysis. As it is now she completely rejects everything about reality and the scientific method.

i feel i missed a lot of this debate out, is excuse me if i go over someone thing that was already said.

cat food companies should make mouse/bird flavored cat food, because cats naturally eat them?

thats a bit faulty.
first off, your house cat isn't exactly that natural, its been domesticated by humans for thousands of years.
so its natural eating habits aren't going to be that natural.

and a consequence of the domestication is that, house cats ate domestic food e.g. bits of beef, chicken and pork left over by humans.
the difference now, like us, they eat processed beef, chicken and pork.

so i think it fair too say a house cat eating beef, is as natural as eating mice.

and also as you know more than a vet, you should know cats eat hundreds of things.

so should companies start making fly flavored cat food? beetle flavored cat food?

do you want to know the answer?, there is no f**king point.
its a cat for Christs sake.
theres plenty of food options already available, there is no need for these extra flavors.

Latest survey shows that 3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the world's population.

I know. i have been studying music for more than 7 years, i don't claim to know everything, and i certainly wouldn't choose to ignore that facts that have came from hundreds of years of other peoples studies.

I certainly wouldn't know where to start if i choose to ignore all these facts, and for the more advanced stuff, learning it isn't something you can just observe.

I would imagine studying animals would kinda be the same, only alot harder.
