Ahh. Well I was gonna say if you want to do web type stuff then try PHP.

Maybe for PC applications Visual Basic or C++

Even within those, there might be a particular language that is better suited to a particular task.

I find visual basic is the easiest to use and is gr8 for beginners (like myself). You can make loads of useful applications with it even with next to no knowledge
