What are your feelings about the strike? This is mostly aimed towards New Yorkers, but how has this affected you?

Damn right I'm good in bed, I can sleep for hours!

You love it. You know you do.

I'm angry!! I can't get to an from work without a ride! I have family in town and it's near impossible to take them out to dinner or show them around the city. Businesses are losing money all over. It sucks!!!!

I'm sick to death of seeing workers strike. If you work in the commercial sector and you don't like your wage, you either strive for promotion or change job.

In the UK, underground train drivers are paid £30k+ per year ($55k p.a) and yet they strike, wanting more. That's already more than the average graduate will see before they are 30.

Why should they be allowed to hold a city hostage?

I know my father is going to use it as an excuse not to come on Saturday and help us with our tree. My step mom will need to go somewhere and he'll have to take her because she can't use public transportation Not like she ever uses it anyway

But, a lot of my brothers friends will not be able to get home in time for Christmas since they are in school here on Long Island, and they live all around the country

My friend's father is on strike. Her mother doesn't work and I think the union members get fined double their salary for each day they're on strike or something. So yeah, it's costing them lots

It sucks especially around the holiday season and all...

Yes this is bad business. A federal judge has ruled the strike illegal and is fining the union $1 million a day. Blame the leaders or the lawyers of the union for starting this mess.

It's actually triple salary now.

Aren't they threatening to send them to prison, also?

Well, I know not to astral travel there hoping to scare a few people on the public transport.

It only affects me because I have to watch it on the news.

Wow. I can't believe it. 30,000 people actually come together on something, and it happens to be probably one of the worst things they could be joining on. Stopping public transportation? The week before Christmas? How rotton can they be?? 1 million dollars is not enough. To hold a whole city hostage like that?? People are missing work, losing wages, missing school, it's not right.

It's one thing to strike, it's another thing to time the strike so that it totally f**ks up the lives of as many people as possible.

What the MTA workers are doing in NYC is absolutely criminal.
