So what if having the baby or carring to term would kill the mother?

Yes, some women (like my Aunt Tina she had cervical cancer) want kids, but the doctors assured her that her uterous would rupture (at or around 5-6 months) and kill her, and if that were to happen the baby would die immedietly as well. So she had to abort it.

Which is bad and good. Good b/c she'd still live and b/c my Unlce Patrick would've not made a good dad at all. He hates kids.
Bad, b/c Tina can never carry and wants a baby.

What do you man "noone ever ants to have an abortion"? If they didnt they wouldnt!
You have 2 choices.."give up the rest of your life" or "terminate"..sounds pretty selfish!

is it really that selfish? i found out the summer before going to college. i already made my first payment had a dorm reserved and everything. the father was in jail by the time i found out (not to mention the fact that he was abusive). so i am selfish for choosing to go to college and get a degree so that when i do marry i can support the children i have. or should i just have a baby not go to school let the child be raised by an abusive father and be broke the rest of my life?

no, that's not selfish, that's thinking realistically and knowing that it probably won't work out unless i had an abortion. i'm not the kind of person who wants to strip or sell drugs to support my child, so i know at this point in my life it was the better choice

Oh man...
My heart goes out to you. I hope she decides to alow this child to live. It was obviously meat to be and this child some are calling cells is growing every second.

A person who has sex for their satisfaction and forgets about the people close to them that an abortion devistates is selfish. Just my opinion and I'm sure your daughter has her reasons.

If she doesn't want you to keep the child then at least she could give it up for adoption.

So heartbreaking to see aboortion used to destroy a life instead of take responsibility for ones' actions in a moment of passion. If you don't want children..there is such a thing as birth control.

Birth control isn't 100%.
Two people very close to me have had abortions. My mom and dad aborted a child they concieved when they were 16, and it was all for the greater good. I know we wouldn't be where we are today if they would've had that child. But they are in no means bad people. They just wern't ready for parenthood as they we're kids themselves.

A child cannot raise a child.

But low and behold, 11 years after that, they had twin girls (my sister and I) and we were planned. That's how babies should be. PLANNED. Not saying suprize babies aren't pleasant though. But sometimes they aren't. There's a time and a place for everything.

The second person is one I'd like not to mention but I can tell you that she IS on birth control pills like I am. I know that for a fact.

I'm not saying I think it's wrong to have abortions, however the point made about mothers being so illogical is that once you've felt a baby move inside you from 17 weeks or so it changes your attitude forever. Some people seem to be deluded that a baby isnt a baby untill it's born. It is very much alive, it hears your voice and reacts to it, it hiccups, fidgets about reacts to mum getting hot and cold. You can't feel all that and then be so eager to support abortion. That said There are times when it's the right choice

I can't predict the future, but maybe I will change some of my view when I become a mommy. Lord knows I LOVE chidlren. I'm really good with caring for them and have always wanted a baby.

I've just come top a point in my life, where I'm Pro-Choice to an extent. If you're using it as a form of birth control, it's wrong. But accidents do happen, you just need to make sure it doen't happen again. But then again, I can't tell people how to live their lives you know?

And it's really different when you're own flesh gets pregnant. You can be Pro-Life'till you're blue in the face, but what happens when your 13 year old daughter falls pregnant? You might not want her to have it. I know I wouldn't.

Thoughts and feelings shift and change over time.

Jsut like Pro-Choice people. You can be Pro-Choice 'till you're blue in the face but when the time comes that you becme a mommy/daddy, you might just change some of your feeling/views/opinions.

You know what I'm saying?

You are right...birth control isn't 100%. Desolving a child is 100% done deal. I do understand that a child can not raise a child. Sometimes people are way into adulthood and still act like a child. My views have changed over the years like yours and have. There are so many options available now that I really believe that abortion should be a last resort due to rape, illness or harm to child or mother. There's just too many mature parents out there begging to have a child and can't.
I'll work on repsecting other peoples choices too.

My misses sister is a nurse and she worked in the abortion part of the gynocology unit. she said on some forms people where having up to 5 abortions. Abortions are ok in my eyes.. however when people start using them as a contraception is when these people need to have a word with them selves. If someone is having a abortion then a bit of education is to contracteption is needed after. I think the talk about "wear a condom" is doing well.. how ever we now need "take the pill" or other (many other) female contraception awareness..

ps this is just to stop pregnancy STD happen when cahsing waterfalls your not use too.

Thats unfair, I wouldn't have an abortion but I won't take hormonal birth control either.

It's hormonal. I will not have foreign hormones controlling my reproductive system it's as simple as that. I will only use barrier methods.
