During the week, I saw a lovely fluffy little Ginger Kitten. It had obviously being thrown out on the side of the road. It was looking for attention, very friendly and had all the signs that it had being well looked after until it was disposed of where I came across it. I picked up the little creature and would have loved to have kept it, but knew it would only get killed by the neighbour's dog or the rough children around here, so I took it to the local Animals' Home. I gave all the perticulars as to where I found it etc. A few hours later, I got a phone-call and was informed - "A caller had rang them to say they knew where the kitten had come from, but they did not want it returned as they had enough pets to feed." The Home said they would seek a new home for it. This morning, I got another phone-call. It was from an elderly lady and this was her message - "I want to thank you for making my life worth living again. I have being so lonely and now have got a lovely little kitten that helps me in so many ways. I have a companion again after years of being alone."

Felt I had to share this with you, as it has touched me deeply and to hear the note of excitement in her voice was a tonic to me, as well as knowing the dear little kitten has got a good home and the dear old lady had good company.

That is so sweet. Good work.

I'm really pissed off that someone just abandoned that poor kitty! If you can't afford to keep your pet, be responsible and take them to a shelter, for goodness sake!!!!

So glad they found a new, loving home for the kitten!
