And since when did I dump anything in the sea??? It goes to landfill
To be honest there is only so much attention we can bring to stuff because there are only so many hours in the day and plastic bags are pretty much on the verge of being delt with.
are there really no other issues worth fighting for these days?!?1
yes because it is becoming an enviromental issue where different species are becoming extinct.... and if we do not clean up the enviroment then what kind of future are we leaving for our children and their children? hmmmm? one day your great grand child is going to ask her/his mum "mummy where are all the dolphins?"

spartans lead the way... all the way
There will never be a reason why I will surrender to your advice

You can even get fashion ones which fit into pouches for 2 pounds in Claire's Accessories. As well as that, put pressure on companies to stop using excessive packaging. I don't see why a small plastic torch needs as much plastic packaging as a Barbie doll. Small things like that make a big difference. And yes, excessive use of plastic is killing dolphins. They see a Tesco bag caught on a rock or something and get curious, go to investigate and get stuck and drown. And yes, dolphins can drown, they need to get air through their blow-holes every now and then.
But we know this or these examples are already in the pipe line. The only thing that isnt in the mainstream media is the bird thing but then again hearing that your rubbish is hurting animals is hardly a big surprise. Maybe you should be focusing on why its not a big surprise....
BTW i think you are a reasonably intelligent girl and I dont want to put down you ideas, I just think your focusing on something that you can have little or no impact. You could make a much bigger difference by focusing on educating people in things they know nothing about.
As for the re-usable bags, supermarkets have sold them for years, that is nothing new , same as the reason they sell them.
