If you rearrange Vin Diesel you get 'i end lives', if you rearrange Mr.T, he'll kill you.

Dont you realize that evil lives under the motherf**king skin?

Yeah its a good game, theres something about it that makes me interested in it, with the honour and the fact i like the art and the clans of mantis and crane. I think the combat system is a little weak though, they should have spent more time, for example just because a guy is firing in a bow, doesnt mean his whole force should not be added to combat resolution. Also much of the equipment is rubbish in the game and i feel the only reason the equipment was brought in was for a direct responce to the magic the gathering equipment. I enjoy the game but i wouldnt rate it above the power of Magic, its something that id do to break away from too much magic but i wouldnt play it too often.

Sorry to correct you however, most of the range attack cards don’t force you to engage (which means they do add force), on top of that Magic has only just started adding equipment to their game where as L5R has always had equipment (so in reality it’s magic that’s reacting to L5R). Also to say the equipment is poor is also a matter of opinion e.g. Ryuko’s Staff allows you to play an extra ring for free when you play another ring using the full requirements, as someone who doesn’t play for enlightenment victories I agree this is a pointless card to have in one of my decks, but for someone who does go for the enlightenment win that is a game winning card. Have to agree with you though Mantis rock!

Most of the ones i have do make you bow, which then negates your force from a battle which i think is ver stupid and does not adear to common sence. Magic have been doing equipment for 3 years and artifacts since the game was born. I meant the equipment that changes your person charecteristics, i can understand the horse making you cavelry but making a person a tactician, you may as well have played an actual tactician in your deck if you needed it, a waste of gold. also the enlightenment victory seems far to hard to succeed at.

Agreed the enlightnement victory is the hardest one to get but then thats why you have cards such as Ryuko's Staff

also there are items such as rosokus urn and the event card 'wisdom gained' that also contribute to the enlightened victory.

The only deck ive seen get a decent amount of rings out though has been one that couldnt gain an enlightenment victory because of there main stronghold. Sure items may help but id never consider enlightenment victory over a pure attack victory. I need some cards for the other deck, now thst im right happy with the one with people and holds in i need better action cards, any help kev or moleman?

The attcking victory is one of the hardest as well purley because your oppents can just build up on you, the easist one and one the most over looked is the honor victory, this is alos the most boring though

I tried playing it a few years ago and I really really want to like it. The prolem I was having is I couldn't get anyone to play it as well. It makes it really hard to enjoy a game playing by yourself...
