A lot of emo pop culture seems expressly designed to call attention to the emotions (usually suffering or misery) of the individual.

Attention-seeking.... usually works, but the result is not always desired.

There's a lot about emo that basically begs for ridicule.

Im all honesty, at my age, i seen it all before, EMO was around before the word was ever invented. As for the skinny guys with the drainpipes and floppy fringes, its not new. And the androgeny, thats not new either.

I dont have a problem with Emo, why should I?

In my honest opinion its teenagers trying to carve a little groove in history by creating this whole anti-emo thing. Emo's invented thier own anti for attention.

Teenagers arent new, nothing is new, there is no fashion or fad that hasnt been done before

it's just all fads and scenesters in general which is bad.

Emos are just like chavs except they dress different and listen to different music, other than that they're both following a trend, and that to me is sad.

I think it's people trying to find SOMEONE or SOMETHING to ridicule. Like, it's all
