Im trying to find a leather jacket. It took me forever to find out about doc marten combat boots. and I was wondering if anyone knew a company that made leather jackets for punks?

You don't really need a brand name jacket...or boots for that matter. Sure Docs are sweet but I'm not about to shell out 120 bucks for something I intend to wear the hell out of. Just about any jacket will do, just check out your local thrift store for something cheap(I paid 10 dollars for one), then put some studs on it, or paint it, which is what I do. Leather jackets come in like three styles: Coat, Biker, Rocker. It's generally pretty easy to tell the difference, and all of them have been worn by various punkers through out the time line.

Try a vintage store, here in Portland, Or there used to be a place called the Big Bang, they had all kinds of old leathers, some even punk. They bought off old schoolers. I sold my first one there and a guy who I later dated turned out to be the one that bought it. But vintage doesn't always mean OLD, it can mean classic lookin too. Good luck! oh and no matter what, langlets brand is crap and over priced. i got my kids first leather at a goodwill store for like 8 bucks. She is always adding stuff to it.

I've always preferred flight jackets to leather, but I did once bore a leather jacket.

I bought it from Rotherham market for £25 and customized it myself.

I bought my boots from an ex-army surplus store, British issue assault boots.

My braces I bought from the market.

My Jeans I bought from the market for £5, bleached them myself.

Customize, damn thee, customize. Don't go buying brand name manufactured stuff!

Now'a'days I buy my gear from

link [www.oxbloodoi.com]

Leather jackets, flight jackets, denim jackets, donkey jackets, jeans, bondage trousers, leather trousers, t-shirts, shirts, posters, cd's, LP's, boots, belts, braces... you'll find it all there.

i actually prefer jean jackets/vests over leather. they're cheaper, easier to find, look pretty badass, and you can do just as much (if not more) to customize them...bleaching and whatnot

you can find both at just about any thrift store...especially around winter time

I definately agree with buying a used one...
My first one I bought for $80 - I know, kinda expensive, but it was bad ass, and I had the money. Needless to say, it was stolen.
Second one I bought at another used record/clothing store. This one was about $40. I ended up giving it away to one of my house mates for her birthday.
Then, I bought the one I have now from another one of my house mates. This one by far fits the best, and it already had a sweet skeleton arm painted on.
So, long story short... you have to look, and keep looking to find the right leather jacket for you!
