I doubt they will give up their summer vacation. I do think that healthcare is a pressing issue so I would hope they give it up.

They're actually facing some opposition on this. To get this passed and passed quickly will take a great expenditure of political capital. If this passes, combined with porkulus and cap-and-tax I bet the Democrats lose the house next election.

I just hope they don't rush through a half assed, poorly thought out plan. This isn't something small like what should we eat for lunch tomorrow? If they screw this up, it could give lasting problems to the country. What they SHOULD do is look at the health plans of other countries, see what works and what doesn't, decide which ideas would work for our country, and go from there. Of course, such a thing would take time. However, I think it's the best way to go.

I think they'll lose seats regardless. People don't like giving 1 party so much power. Losing seats is inevitable. How many seats depends on the job Congress does.
