A lad at a rural Yorkshire school turned up late for the day's first lesson.

Teacher ...... Why are you late for lessons?

Boy ............ I had to take 'the bull to to serve the cow Miss.

Teacher ...... A poor excuse boy. Could your Dad not have done it?

Boy ........... No Miss. It's got to be a bull.
