Shit! There's something wrong with my car. I've only had the damn thing for a year and now somethings amiss. My day-to-day car is my little 2004 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. It's started to have this horrible metallic sound whenever i accelerate. Also when i'm going from high speeds down to a lower speed you can hear the weird sound. Also the sound is easier to hear when i'm accelerating and making a right turn.

I don't know s**t about cars so if anyone has any ideas feel free to tell me. I'm taking her in on Friday. The nearest Subaru dealership is about 1.5 hours from my place so hopefully after work on the way down there my car won't fall apart midway. I am soooo not in the mood to keep driving my Ford Explorer this summer. Gas just shot up 20 cents today from 3.54 to 3.74. Damn V-8 just eats through the gas. I'd really like to go back to driving my little Subaru!

So i get to take my car in on Friday to fix this "sound" thats been driving me nuts and is the reason for this topic. I see that 28 folks looked at this thread but nobody has any clue what my cars problem is.

I did take my car in to get fixed at a local shop. Unfortunately the mechanic didn't have an opening for my car, but at least he did take a ride along with me to listen in to my engine. He told me it didn't sound like a drive shaft or transmission issue. He figures it has something to do with the axle or the bearings. Good news mind you. Everything that he mentioned is covered on my warranty so hopefully this will be covered. About damn time i get to get some work done that is covered by a warranty. I've started to doubt the need for a car warranty before now.
