I learned to knit at school. the first thing I knit was a scarf and then went on to knit what we called then a "gollywog".

Since then I have tried to knit wee matinee coats for my eldest son, when I was expecting him and 23 yers later its still not finished.

I dont think I have a career path in knitting somehow.

My mum was a brilliant knitter, knitting jumpers, cardigans, aran jumpers, aran cardigans, bed socks. She could knit anything.

I can knit
My mum taught me she's ace at all that stuff, knitting, sewing, making things, cross stitch all sorts.
The best thing I made was when my boys were babaies I knit all their jumpers and cardies and stuff.
I haven't done it for a few years. I don't have the patience to knit anything bigger than baby clothes.
Therefore I wouldn't do it for a living.

I am the person you see and hear, nothing more, nothing less. Don't like it then that's your problem, not mine!

I love knitting & crocheting!

I learned to knit from a DVD called "The Art of Knitting" because i find book illustrations/
instructions to be frustrating=( so far i've made a barrel bag, socks, a hat, scarf and now
i'm working on some fingerless gloves...you should be able to find this on amazon if you
have no one to teach you. g'luck

Knitting is awesome! I learned how from books. The best thing I've made was a Harry Potter afghan. I spent weeks making a graph for the picture on it. It's red with a picture of a lion in gold on it. I would definitely like to do it for a living. As for knitting being for grannies, you can just look around at all the patterns available now and see that it's really popular with all age groups.

My mom taught me how to knit, its fun because its something you can do while watching tv, and its one of those things you can just do whenever. I don't know many other people my age who can knit, my friends sometimes make fun of me and people who find out think its weird. But I've made some really cool stuff, and hopefully when I have kids I'll be able to knit them some cool stuff. I dont think I'd go for a career in it, its more of a hobby that I like to do.

Hi knitting is great, I learn't how to knit and pearl after that it was learning from the patterns themselves, if I didn't understand the abbreviations I would ask others. I have knitted for mum and dad, husband, two sons and daughter, even taught myself to machine knit but, gained more satisfaction from hand knitting. I have knitted for all five of my grandchildren, now I am knitting for grandaughters dolly, also I knit for charity. Would just like to keep it as a hobby, that way I am not pressured. from Sandy x

1. my grannyma taught me but my mum also helped... I learnt to crochet from my mum before I learnt to knit though.
2. Scarfs. Anything more and I either get bored or I lose where I am ... although I once found the CUTEST and easiest little bear pattern and I have made lots of those but I have no use for them!
3. shivers no! too much time but I like it as a hobby... although I would and do consider sometimes making stuff for charities.
4. well then you haven't seen half of my friends then have you? It is for anyone to do with as they wish to!!

I knit, my grandmother taught me. The best thing I've knitted was a scarf in my school colors for my dad. I don't agree with those that say it's for grandmas! I have a friend who also knits. It's just relaxing!
