Today, Decemeber 22, marks the anniversary of the untimely death of John Graham Mellor better know as Joe Stummer, co-founder, lyricist, rhythm guitarist and lead singer of seminole punk band The Clash.

The Clash were one of the first punk bands that I got into and they helped me through some hard times. I can never express how much this band means to me and how much their music effected my life. Joe Strummer has and always will be one of the few people I truly aspire to be like.

Rest In Peace Joe

It's a drag when a musician you get into dies. Even if the band just breaks up. They're part of what you are. Noticed Jimi Hendrix in your profile rudie. My favorite

Thanks for the reminder rudie. 'London Calling' top stuff. The clash will go down in music history as probably one of the best punk bands of that era.
Keep rockin man.

Well, so far they've been remembered as one of the best bands, of any genre, ever. And yes London Calling is pretty amazing, though I'm partial to their self titled album and Combat Rock, though I hate Should I Stay or Should I Go.
