are you going to had a jewelry business or not??

What kind of jewelry do you want to make? I do some wire wrap of semi-precious stones and geodes. I also make bead and feather earrings. There is a lot of competition out there, especially on e-bay. If you want to actually make money at it instead of just being a hobby, you usually have to have a different style or a really cheap price (and really cheap doesn't go very well with quality work).

I started my own jewellery business very recently from home and now have a website. Granted, you're probably my competition but I'd love to help you.

As long as you enjoy making the jewellery, its always a good idea. There are plenty of places online that you can get good quality beads and materials from, for a good price.

I can hook you up with some great sites to buy from if you like, just PM me some time and I'll tell you the ones I go to.

My mom runs a jewelry business, it's called Spark. She loves it, but she doesn't sell her stuff on any of the websites you listed, she sells it on her on website, and also on Etsy and at the big craft fairs.

I ran a jewelry shop for 12 years and did the whole bead thing.First get a wholesale liscence. Its like 5 bucks. That way you can go to the bead shows and pay ALOT less than you would online.Or you can travel to thailand or bali and buy them for dirt cheap. All of your silver components you will want to by whole sale as well.If you don't buy wholesale you can't compete.I think sunbiz.com(don't quote me)is where you can get a liscence.Places like fire mountain gems has some good stuff but way over priced.Go to the bead shows!!!Its how you will find sources and lots of ideas.A lot of times if you find a vendor you like at the show you can go to their ware house and save even more.Look online for shows in your area. Some are cash and carry(anyone can attend) some are closed to all but folks with a wholesale liscense. If its your passion go for it!!!

I make handstrung gemstone [url=http://www.ultimategemstonejewelry.com jewelry[/url] and sell some online but also sell to people that see me wearing my work as well as going to some local 'fairs' from time to time. Its really alot of fun, very relaxing and a thrill when someone else gets excited about what you do!

I wish you luck and pray it turns out well!
