for me to be really (this really isn't the right word) obsessed with wanting to be a mom?

It's no secret that all my life I've wanted to be a mom. I loved playing with baby dolls, I had little cribs and everything.

Now I'm not one of those crazy teens who are out to get pregnant, I don't want to now, but I don't think one day goes by when I don't think about babies or how it'll be when I'm a mom.

I watch mom and baby shows on TV, I read parenting magazines, I read about labor/delivery, I love babysitting, I have a baby name book, I get giddy when I go through the baby aisle in stores, I think of baby names, I think about taking my kids to Webbers Farm and doing all sorts of cute/fun seasonal things with them, I look at/plan baby rooms.
The list goes on.

Is this a bad thing... or is this normal?

**Note: I'm not naive, I know it's not all fun and games in parenthood.

its not strange... its part of your unique personality... we all have our quirks that separate us from everyone else-- for you, its a baby obsession...

actually, jeremy was that way too... he had a father much like your mother, and i think a big part of his desire for a kid was to prove to himself that he could be better... perhaps there's some of that desire for you as well, fueling your obsession?

I think it is normal to want to be a mom, it depends on what you mean by being obsessed

I would say it's a little weird to be honest. I don't know many people my age who would be that into the whole parenting dream as much as you seem to be, but if that's what you're into then fair enough.

You know I've thought about that, and I think they could be a big factor actually..
It makes sense.

I've really noticed a lot of girls my age are like:

"No kids. EVER."

Idk what's up with that.

One of my BIGGEST fears is infertility. I don't think I could go on if I found out I was infertile.

Well most girls my age aren't into parenthood or baby stuff as much as I am. I think I know a great deal about babies, like as far as infant/toddler care goes.

I don't think I'm as bad as the girls who collect baby items, I don't do that, thankfully.

There is nothing wrong with knowing you want to be a mom one day, and dreaming of how awesome it will be. I think that's cute. Even if it is a long way off!

Same!
When I was 12 I thought Charity Escence was a pretty girls name.

When I was 14 they were still a little odd. Like I wanted to name my son Démon (pronounced like Damon).

I have more realizstic names like Aaden and Kylie. But I've always loved the names Amberlee and Tuesday.

In about 9-10 years my dreams will come true.
