Anyone know of a program that can take songs already on an ipod, and transfer them onto a computer (a different one to which they were uploaded from).

You don't need a program for that. (unless you also want it to give them their names back, instead of the way itunes names them)

I thought that WMP could do that, but if not ZD Net will more than likely be able to help you find one.

Media Monkey might be able to let you do that, but I think iTunes can as well.

But surely you could just open the music folder up from your iPod through My Computer?

Actually it's extremely simple, in itunes make sure you have the save files to my library or similar setting checked. Then put your ipod in disk mode and plug it in. open the removable drive and go to folder setting and enable hidden folders, and there is a folder that says ipod control. all your music is in there, just drag it onto itunes. itunes will automatically convert the names. Remember google is your friend.
