I know not to interrupt, keep eye contact with employer, of course dress properly, ask any questions at the last............and the one I ask is, what are you looking for in a ? job title.

-be honest and upfront about yourself.

any more advice?

I'm getting tons of interviews, but no job offers, I know it comes down to who is suited best and they seen tons of people.

Arrive early
Smile and shake hands firmly

Prepare for the question. Be prepared for more in-depth questions regarding your past performance and experiences. Have additional questions on hand about the position, expectations and challenges.

Think globally. Remember to think about how the position affects everyone, not just the career. Hiring managers like to see that you understand the bigger picture.

Be yourself. Above all else, remember to be yourself. Let your personality come through with everything you do.

Close the sale. At the end of the interview, always try to close the sale by asking for the job.

Address concerns. Follow up with any last minute questions to address any concerns about your ability to succeed in the new role.

Say thank you. Always thank the manager. Just as you have put in time preparing for hte interview, so has the interviewer. Thank them for their time and the opportunity to interview for the position.

The Truth, even if you don't like it, it's still the truth.

Can you hear me now? Through all that the world is screaming, my voice will reach you somehow.

yup, have done all that as well.--always there 15 min. ahead of appointment.

You cannot ask for the job as they alway say, we have more people to interview, which is true. Sometimes I will say, are my chances good to get into your company?-----but worded professionally, they always say yes, they certainly are not going to come out and say no then.

I do wonder sometimes if my personality does come on to strong................I have seen others just sit there, and say nothing?

Advice?

Preparation, preparation, preparation ... you'll get asked a lot of the same questions ... prepare your answers and practice giving them so they sound convincing.

Be positive and friendly at all times ... dont feel you have to fill any silences, let the interviewer do that ... try to exude confidence .. an interview is like a movie .. you have to play your part better than the other candidates.

CV/Resume ... print it on good quality paper (at least 100g/m2).. not WHITE ... most people print them on white .. cream or a pale colour will make it stand out from the crowd.

Read a book about interview technique and one about how to answer questions well ... this might help INTERVIEWS

Keep plugging away hun .. good luck!

I have owned several business in my life and have hired hundreds of people....
All the advice from those above are great advice....
But I would add one thing...
call back about 48 to 72 hours after the interview and ask about the position....If the manager is stuck between two applicants a call back will show interests

Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders & says...
'Oh s**t...she's awake!!

I will try that one.

- I always email after an interview and thank the person for taking the time, blah blah blah.

but all employers will say, I will be deciding next week, or I still have more interviews, I will get back to you.

is calling them not irrating them?

also, is cream paper better than white as it stands out better as John said above?

thanks boss!
