that people sterotype others goths chavs punk emo etc whenever i am on a chat site or a forum becuase of the way i dress the music i like and my pics they jump into a conclusion that i am a goth so they star clicking on me and give me insults such as 'gothic slut or greebo whore i keep telling them that i am myself and i am NOT! a lable i am myself but they dont listing why cant others accpet me for what i am not for what i look like?

I know what you mean! I can't really describe myself to people because I'm kinda a mix of stereotypes!! But to be honest, I don't care when I get 'nasty' comments, it doesn't bother me.

Not many of us on TFS make generalised assumptions about people. Most of us are open minded, so i think you can post on here without too much worry. Of course you get the odd one, but they are generally the comic releif

If you're goth or anything else, I don't think they have the right to call you names like that period. Who the hell do they think they are??!!

I hate generalised asumptions peple make about others. I prefer to talk to people enough to get to know them quite well before I make up my mind what they are like. Everybody says first impressions count but I never go on any one by the first impression they make on me. I like chatting to somebody to really find out what they are like. You lot would all probably think I'm mad if you saw me out. I'm the one always having random conversations with total strangers about subjects that I have idea how we got onto them, and the one wearing an outfit that I really like and feel comfortable in but can be a bit OTT at times. But at least by doing that I get to hear loads of different veiw points about loads of different things. Its also probably that, that has taught me not to judge somebody on their physical apperance.

They are just not secure with themselves. They think that labeling people and putting them down will better themselves. I personally think it's rediculous.
