I read a play in 9th grade and I'm pretty sure it was called The Chrysalis. I'm having a hard time finding it online or who wrote it. It is about our world a few thousand years after nuclear holocaust and the only thing of our civilization that survived was the book of revelations. Needless to say people were messed up because of it. Anyone who was born deformed, like a sixth toe or something, was banished to the edges of town called the fringe. Every time I hear the song Lunatic Fringe it makes me think of that play. Could anyone help me by finding out who wrote the play so I can find it?

Thanks, that looks like it! I don't remember it being a novel, it was definitely a play when we read it. No wonder I couldn't find it, I spelled the name wrong.
