I just started my first website a few days ago and want to advertise it so that people will want to check it out. But how would I go about doing that? Please help. ^_^

posting in multiple forums with your website in a signature link is a good way to advertise. Be careful though some forums do not allow self promotion

First you have to decide who it is you want to reach with your website. Once you figure that out it will be easier to help you....
Then you need to decide what your are willing to spend to promte your site. Again when you figure that out it will be easier to help you....

There are paid methods of gtetting visitors to your websites, but you don't initially need to spend anything as there are a lot of promotional methods that are free, such as:

submitting to search engines and website directories.

add a link to it in your TFS signature so it shows when you post in the forum or any other forum for that matter.

Add a link to it in your TFS profile page.

add a link to it in you email signature so people see it whenever you send them an email.

Submit your site to social bookmarking sites like Del.icio.us, Digg or Fark.

Actually tellin family and friends about your site as they will probably tell other people.

There are lost of ways you can promote your site for free, you just have to be a bit creative.

link [www.google.com]

link [www.submitexpress.com]

Try those 2 sites first of all and I would stick with a simple site name that people may find or come across easily....

Hi

You could try Google Adwords - thats a good start, my friend uses it for his site and his advert comes up in the sponsored links on Google. I think he said its cost about £10.00 per week.

Have you submitted your site to the search engines such as google?

You can increase your traffic by making your site easy to find, one way to do this is to exchange links with other like minded websites, I use link exchange to achive this.

This will help your site get noticed in the search engines.

You will also need to make sure your site is search engine freindly with the keywords used throughout your site.
