Well, this is my first time on this site. Need to get some stuff off my chest and speak to people who don't just tell me "don't worry something will come along!!" (my rents/partner!!)
Basically, ever since finishing my college course I have been in and out of crap jobs, and after leaving my last job because my boss treated me like a 12-yr-old ("now, this is a piece of paper, i would like you to put it in this folder like so...do u think u can do that??!" I am struggling to find ANYTHING!!

I have 3 yrs exp in retail and apparently that makes me pretty useless!

If anyone in the UK can tell me why recruitment agents are complete cons , I would love to hear from you.

HEEEELLPPP!!

I know how you feel. I've only ever recently gotten a job that i've stuck to! I had a couple of jobs while living in the midlands and had loads of money. Then I moved up here to be with my partner and it was bye bye money!

I went through a succession of bad jobs, with managers treating me like a 3 year old, having members of the public telling me where to "shove it" having managers being unbelievably bitchy and childish to me! My partner was supporting me and i still owe him £1300.

Now I'm doing a weekend job as a cleaner at a gym and i've never been happier! The folk there are so helpful and are so fun to be around! With only 2 people I don't see eye to eye with.

You're luck in the fact that it's now April and there'll be spring jobs coming up soon! and you'll be able to find something. I would recommend you look in newspaper's, the job centre, opportunities centre! Online job sites I could give you loads!

Above all hand in your CV to places that you see offering....if you don't mine me asking...what does your CV look like? In my case i had to re write my CV as that was what was letting me down!

Feel free to talk to me about it! I've nearly lost everything, my partner, this house, my parent's trust, friends, money...All because of bloody jobs! You need to be aware of what job you want! You say you have retail experiance, what kind of exp' is that shop work? pub work? what are your skills? In interviews you need to be able to sell yourself!

hope that helped

Just keeplooking, and don't give up on hope!

Your struggling to find a customer services job? Blimey! You need to move up here, we have hundreds of them.

Again, what did you do in college? It would seem a waste of two years to not use it towrds getting something, and i assume you enjoyed it bc you studied it for two years?

thought about the NHS? they got loads of problems Sry i work for them.

Anyways wherever you work, to start with you will be treated like a 12 year old until you prove yourself. I know its infuriating but at the same time you get plenty of blockheads who cant post a letter

You can sign up for extra work for fun to keep with the acting. I would recommend some employment agencies, local hospitals, local council, recruitment websites.

Basically, i studied Performing Arts. I've trained in acting, dancing and singing since i was 5, and i know i wasted it all but (...and i hate to admit it) i need money and cannot afford to go off to drama school or uni for 3 yrs!!

Every recruitment site online has my C.V and nobody does anything about it....and any agency that i have had contact with gets my hopes up to the point where im literally planning my lunches for my new job....then they don't even contact me to tell me that i haven't even been selected for interview...not bothering to care that i had to travel to their offices for them to discuss how keen i am on the job!!

I have seen a vacancy for an assistant manager at maccy d's....i can almost smell the sweat and grease already....
