I don't like it. The fact of killing animals makes me sad. But in a way, it has to be done for population control. Like, seeing a deer in the city wouldn't be good.

MD legislature has exstended the time period for deer hunting the fall because of the huge amounts of deer. In Loch Raven (a huge wild life park) there is supposed to be 10 deer per square mile. Right now, we're looking at 80+ deer per square mile. That's not good.

Last Saturday, my mom, sister and I we're jogging in Loch Raven, and we saw 30 deer all together in one area.

hunting is better than breeding animals for the sake of killing and eating them in my opinion.

I'm a vego, but I'm not particularly opposed to hunting for the sake of eating really. I think hunting and killing an animal means that that animal has had a better life than any that we breed for the sake of meat.

gotta dissagree here,i breed my own meat and chickens, and they all live like royalty until there killed for the freezer.

most farmers who have cattle and sheep are good and treat their animals well with drenching, top feeds, vacinations, vet care and plenty of water.except in drought, they cane suffer along with other animals.

if farmers did not do this, they lose money, reputation and go out of business.

how many meat producing farms have you stayed at?

hunting for sport should be banned.

shooting to kull fast breeding pests who destruct nature "as fast as humans do" should be allowed by licenced hunters only.and records should be kept.

big game hunting should not be allowed.

there should be special large game hunting parks opened and operated by experienced hunters, and these can be used for breeding and hunting at a price, and the profits can go into helping declining species to re populating the world, and animal studies.

just my opinions.

Well, that's really nice that way you treat your animals and I appreciate that, I relly do, but here in the states at least you don't see that many farmers that produce food for grocery stores. You have more slaughter houses. And trust me, they're terrible places. Simply dreadful and wretched.

And really, if you do see some of those farmers that are kind to their animals and have them be healthy, they produce for themselves.

But like I said, you hardly find any of those anymore.

Kinda like how they cut cow utters off to get more milk faster?
People don't usually care about how their food was treated when it was alive.
how's that old saying go?
Out of sight out of mind.

dont know about that, never heard of it,if one cuts a cows udder off, than it would produce milk but have no where to store or release it.plus the cow would probably die.

they get more milk by hormones and or running the dairy on a three rotational 24 hour system, and they milk the cows three times in 24 hours instead of the traditional two.

as for outta sight outta mind, well on occasions dispicable people are found world wide, but if your cattle gets mistreated when they are alive, then the meat is ussually bruised or of poor quality cannot be sold.

anyway,enough of that.catchya

I believe God put animals on earth to be eaten. Therefore I don't have any problem with hunting what so ever. Certain animals however are endangered and others may become endangered species if people continue to over hunt animals for unnecessary reasons such as fun. I believe hunting should be for the necessity of food.

Eagles may soar but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.

ha.
do people eat the lions they kill? i dunno if they do, i highly doubt it.
it is NOT fair play, early hunters did not use guns sir. to me, thats f**king cheap.
big game hunting is stupid personally.
i'm from wisconsin, and hunting deer is a good thing. they over populate and people hit them all the time. they cause more trouble than anything.
i love animals, and if you're going to kill one...your life better be in danger, or you better f**king eat that s**t.

It depends if you live in Los Angeles or Alaska. It depends on how and where you were brought up. It depends on your culture. It depends on many things. Is hunting good or bad? The question is entirely too broad. People have been hunting and fishing since time began. It was, and still remains a mainstay for providing food for many more people than most people realize. Killing is the issue for most suburbanites who despise the thought of it, while they throw a Stouffer’s sliced turkey dinner in the microwave. Every piece of meat that society eats is killed in some fashion or another.

i agree. hunting for food is they way to go, the animal gets to live in it's natural habitat...and it has a fighting chance. the hunter or the prey can luck out.
a deer can fill a freezer, and it's free.
meat from a store is torture and gross, and can only make one meal.
