I'm a big fat flabby tub of lard who has recently decided that I no longer want to look like this.

I have been taking Alli, and I do both leg lifts and sit ups every day.... but I still can't get rid of this saggy bag of fat around my lower waist and my love handles.

Can someone suggest a plan for me to get fit?

Is it it fat or excess skin that's left? If it's skin, outside surgery, you're screwed.

The best thing for difining your tummy muscles in my oppinion would be a swiss ball.

You can do the same thing as stomache crunches etc but its 10 times easier. They arent that expensive and I find them really good.

His primary concern is going to be fat loss and whole-body weight training.

I have found abs rollers in the past quite good..

Crunches are where you just barely lift your back off the ground. Sit-ups are where you bring your entire torso all the way up.

A swiss ball is a big inflated ball. You can use it as a support for all kinds of core exercises.

Excuse me, when did he ask for advice on losing weight? clearly reading different things here. I did not see that. The question i saw was how to get good abs. I have answered that question.

Sometimes jonnythan you should be aware that its not always what you say but how you say it.

I used to use medician balls once... that was a work out..

That and depending how heavy he was/is and how much he loses, dealing with excess skin. You can only push a body so far before, it will no longer regain it's proper form.

The only way to lose fat is to lower your caloric intake and build up muscle.

Why are you arguing with me? Im not disputing that. Im a gilr jonnythan ive been on more diets than youve had hot dinners. I know all about getting fit, keeping fit and eating the right food. All the same. Im not disputing that.

Thanks for the info

I found doing simple things like getting out of the car and walking more helps keep you healthy but think something more drastic/vigorous would be needed to develop a six pack that swiss ball sounds fun.

I got stomach muscles when i was in the RAF and trust me the food i was eating was far from low calorie.. my mate in teh paras eats 4 times a day full square meals and is built like a brick s*** house.. he has muscles.. on muscles..

Its all to do with training how you do it and where you do it.. Food is a small factor in fitness..
