I watched this old hammer horror on christmas night, it was awesome. It was based on the tales from the crypt.

There was the mum from mary poppins in it and she was married to this man who had OCD and he kept going mad at her for not having the house all clean and tidy and he kept saying "a place for everything and everything in its place" so anyways one day she is listening to records and having a gin and tonic and then she realises he is about to come home so she picks up her drink and sees that she has made a ring on the table from the drink.

So she runs to the basement to get some stuff to clean the ring off the table but ends up knocking the bottle over on the carpet. So then she cleans it up and as she runs to the basement again she knocks a picture off the wall. So she gets a hammer and nail and then hammers the picture back up.

When she is putting the hammer away she knocks everything over in his workshop in the basement and makes a massive mess.

Then he walks into the basement and starts yelling at her. You see her eyes go red and then she just starts smashing him in the face with the hammer.

Then you see her laughing and yelling "EVERYTHING IS IN ITS PLACE" and the camera goes to the shelves and you see his brain in one jar, his eyes in another, hands in another and she has labeled everything too and is just going MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Its awesome.

It was when she looked out the window and the mad was staring up at her.
Proper freaky.

Nothing like that scares me these days though, horror movies are a waste of time for me.

hmm,
i don't know, i don't get scared by films, i loved the shining.
the ring was pretty good at the time, even the american version. i think people have gotten over their fear of asian children by now though.

a decent horror film hasn't been made in awhile.

I dont get scared by them any more either but i appreciate the ones that are funny or represent a certain era. I prefer eerie stuff to slashers. They certainly serve a purpose, an outlet for our fascination with the macabre.

The exorcism of Emily Rose - not a favourite per se but it certainly scared the s*** out of me at the time.

Has anyone seen Children of the Corn? It is the most hilarious horror film to ever exist!!!!

That would probably be my vote if only for the caving scenes.

That really got to me.
