13/F/Windsor, Canada Join Date: Jan 2008 | This is what I think they should do. It would be difficult to keep every area under survailence, but still, this would be a nice law.
If you hit an animal on the road, in your drive way, even if it's already dead, you should be fined with animal cruilty, even if unintentional. If you don't know that you've hit an animal on the road, then you arn't paying any attention to the road.
At least 120 dollars if you hit any animal, including reptiles, mammals, birds, rodents, and turtles of any sort. If they catch you on the road hitting an animal, you get fined. If intentionally, you get fined 750 dollars if on the road (which could be rare to find on the roads) and if elsewhere (e.g. in the forest, school yard, backyard, own home, anywhere outside) and intentionally injuring an animal, you get fined 2,987 dollars. Remember, God gave all of it's creations life, so even a slugs life is important to him.
Lucky this law was made by me, or else a lot of people would be broke by now.
Tell me if you think this law should be added, not that it will be, just if you think it should. And please, try not to be too harsh, flames are rude and it means you're an asshole, sorry for the language. I just got finished writing out my journal of how everyone thinks I was accusing jonnythan of something, how even he thought I was.
Anyways, tell me if I need to improve. I know what you're thinking; how on Earth are they gonna find out who did it if they didn't see the car or license? I'm still trying to figure that out.

I am like the wind. I am called the wind. But the wind blows the opposite way I'm going. Wrong wind. | | |

48/F/, Canada Join Date: Mar 2008 | The Unintentional part really bother's me, that is way out there, you seem to have more mercy for the already dead animal than a human life and that's just a little much for me, I think you're taking this a little too far, how is one supposed to see a slug on the road, you'd have to have a magnifying gla** and literally be hanging out of your window to see it, by then it wouldn't matter cause the car behind you and even the car ahead of you to which you are paying no attention to because you're bent over your window making sure you don't squish an insect, would either hit you or you them and you'd all probably be dead or in the hospital, then if I were to make a law just as ludicrous as yours is, my law would be if by your watching out for the insects life you killed 2 or 3 people then I'd have to fine you an infinite price, because humans are much more valuable, and before you mention God's creature's in rebuttal, read your Bible and tell me what God's perfect creation was>>>>>>>MAN.JMO

That is a terrible idea for a law. People hit animals in the road all the time. Most of the time it's totally unavoidable. I hit a *deer* on a dark forest road at night. It appeared literally about 1/10 of a second before I hit it. There was absolutely no possible way to avoid it. There is no reason on earth that human beings should be on the hook for paying a fine to the government for the whims of wild animals.
This would also encourage people to violently swerve out of the way to avoid hitting animals that dart out into the road.
Do you want to explain to a grieving mother that her son is dead because he hit a light pole and died trying to avoid a fine he couldn't afford for hitting a squirrel who darted out into the road?
