the conspiracy isnt in the word as much as who organizes the accounts of former and current cultures. I want to know what organizations put the history books together. how they verify the information they found, etc etc.

its possible that its their story, not ours.

There is no such thing as "the history books." History is a collection of documents and accounts (primary sources) collected and cataloged by historians around the world (secondary sources) and then often collected and cataloged by other historians or publishing houses.

Historians write the history books. They don't all belong to some secret society. They're just people who (usually) studied history in college and kept on doing research after they graduated.

but where do they get their material? how do they verify it?

you know, the southern united states try to avoid the subject that they lost the civil war.

there are secret societies, and we have been warned about them countless times.

we just cried wolf too many times when the timing wasn't correct.

you also make the assumption that all historians are somehow involved. it would only take the first group to be involved for the rest to be strung along unknowingly.

seeing as how kings and royals have grown accustomed to brandishing their names with noble accomplishments, i don't see how this is unlikely.

Everywhere. First-person accounts, government documents, military records, court proceedings, almanacs, eyewitness testimony, newspaper articles, etc etc etc.

Historians are not idiots. They know how to verify information.

No they don't. I can say that pretty confidently having been born and raised in New Orleans. How much time have you spent studying history in the South?

Huh. That's news to me.

I think you get too much information from CNN. It's obvious you've never even set foot in the city.

Nashville isn't the same as Birmingham, which isn't the same as Little Rock, which isn't the same as Alexandria, which isn't the same as Jackson, which isn't the same as Asheville.

I've been to all of those places. I doubt if you've been to any of them.

I'd say that I'm probably in a much better position to judge how New Orleans fits into "the South" than you are.

No, you were talking about how they downplay the Civil War because the Confederacy lost.

And I was correcting you, because that's not true. In fact, most southerners know a hell of a lot more about the Civil War than westerners or northerners. The Civil War is a big, big topic in the south.

In this day and age, you don't need a tv to get news from CNN.

Hell, we don't get CNN here, yet i can easly find out what they are reposting about.
