Lonely is, IMO, the worst feeling in the world. I've been in that place where no matter how many people are around, you feel completely and totally alone. Have you ever considered seeing a counselor? Sometimes, having a disinterested party to talk to can work wonders.
Do you have self esteem problems as well?
I thought about it, but I ensisted to the Army.

To finally answer you question...I did spoke to a friend from St. Louis who suggested taking antidepressants. Also, I've been feeling unworthy off-and-on, more than half of my life.

hmmm my suggestion would be to chat to someone about it, maybe chat to us on here if you wnt into why you feel lonely. do you feel lonely because you dont have a partner or because you don't have the motivation to go outside and socialize yourself because you dont feel worthy. either way i think maybe talking to yourself and having a conversation would probs work, it doesnt always mean your weird because your talk to yourself, i do it sometimes. i'm feeling lonley at this present moment in time and have done for 6 months now. being with a girl i liked didn't even sort that out so im still trying to see where it lies. i think mine is because i'm not with my father, but im going to see him next month so we shall see. you will get out of it, just look into your heart and try and see the first thing you desire and go for it. atleast then your doing something and if it works then it works if not then move on to the next.
To answer that, yes for both. People wouldn't wanna date a girl like me and in the a social setting, they would just think I'm weird.

I think you should speak to a doctor. I take antidepressants. It doesn't change who you are And a doctor may be able to help you make other changes to feel better without having to take meds, if you don't want meds.
And of course, you're welcome to vent here anytime you want/need to.

I don't know how many years I will live like this. I hate being myself! My paternal relatives don't care about me! I wish I would just die!
The depression lies to you in a sense. It makes you believe people don't care sometimes because you feel worthless. Don't believe that. You need to get some help. Call a doctor for an appointment. The doctor will probably test your thyroid and ask some questions. If he/she can't find anything wrong physically, you'll probably get an antidepressant and/or sent to a psychiatrist. You deserve to have a fulfilling life and you can be happier with the right help. Don't keep putting this off. Please. | | |
