I need help, i cant make myself study...........

I just want to sleep all day, do nothing, be lazy..i feel like there is no way i could ever get a degree cause i'm so unmotivated....

I'm in my second year in college and i can feel its slipping away, my attendance is bad.....

the rest of my family are all so confident and motivated i'm the only one without a part time job...

how can i get out of this hole.

Easy. Have an older sister that'll beat the hell out of you for not applying yourself; studying, etc. It worked for me.

Are you taking classes that interest you? I'm always more motivated to do work for classes which I find interesting.

How about getting involved in a sport or club that you truly enjoy? That might cut back on the not wanting to do anything all day, and perhaps if you get out and do something fun you'll be more disciplined in your studies.

Also, if you're feeling depressed, many universities offer a counseling center on campus free to students.

Good luck.

There must be some other things other than school which you are not aware of.

the course that you took, is it one that you like?

maybe you could join clubs, sports or groups which you are interested in so you'll have something to look forward to when you go to school

Try and find someone to talk to, a counsellor or someone. Plus St John's Wort is good to help combat depression, apparently.

I agree with you.

To the OP: If one decides to use St. John's Wort, however, it is wise to check with your doctor if you're already on an antidepressant or any prescribed or over the counter drug. I took it for a while and it did help me but then my doctor changed my medication. He said it was fine for what I was taking before but that it is not good with my current medication. It's better to be safe than sorry. I hope you will take advantage of the counseling and that you find a field of study that interests you. Good luck!

Speak to your college counsellor. It may be you are just taking the wrong path. Without knowing what you are studying its difficult to advise.
