I hadn't gotten any PMs from a mod or anything. Then, in one thread, the creator of the webcomic itself, the administrator of the forum, responed to a post of mine and told me to shut up. He didn't message me and ask me to stop posting so much. He didn't try talking to me in private at all. He just blabbed out on the forum, which was a very rude and inappropriate thing to do. I had never vistied a forum before and didn't know anything about them. I was learning and was, really, a complete n00b. Did anybody on the site try to help me? No. Did anyone on there care that I didn't know anything? No. Did anyone have any respect for me as a person? No.
That's what happened on this other forum today almost...the ADMIN of the forum insulted me and they are actually still talking about in that thread right now.
It's so the truth when I say TFS is one of a kind for so many different reasons.

The forum had the whole points system and had nice nicknames you got as you progressed in points, like TFS does.
I like talking and chatting and conversing, and I liked having points and such, and I had a lot of free time since it was the summer, so I posted a lot, even on my first day.
The people who ran the forum though, apparently just wanted a little bit of talk; they didn't want anything that didn't have vital use or some such crap. (Can you imagine that on TFS? All the games would be gone, as well as a good many of the discussion-related threads . . . hell, most of the site would be gone!)

Sites like that one exist all over the place, and they should be ashamed to have members. Thank God for TFS, where Mods will understand if you are new, where Mods will talk to you first in private, even if you do something incredibly wrong, instead of blasting you right on the forum. TFS rocks, and it's largely in part to the great Moderators who help maintain it.
So . . .
Can I get blessed now?
No my post was before yours it was'nt quiet as long but I get blessed first damnit back off I will be coming through your town in 6 more days LOL

Well, I've jokingly slipped in the "TRENCHER Rules," on multiple occasions, citing that they have installed obstacles in my path towards fame and glory.
But with the deletions, punches and zero points piling up; who can blame me. I think that the TFS Police defintely shows favoritism and will not hesitate to put the "outlaws" in their place.
I'm proud to wear the black hat in this movie; and if the TFS Police wants to abuse the, "TRENCHER Rules" policy... then so be it.

34/F/, Singapore Join Date: Jan 2006 | I think the mods here are given a free reign to handle situations as they see fit, and we're extremely fortunate that they handle that 'authority' in the best way possible.
The current Mod Squad are able to handle postings, members and delicate situations well, and their decisions are substantiated with valid reasons. For this reason alone, members DO adhere to the acceptable code of conduct.
Judging from the past few months or so that I've been here, everyone is happy with the way things are run around here - there have been no disgruntled complaints or a public flogging of the Mod Squad, unlike in any other forum whereby decisions do regularly come under public scrutiny.
This is a pretty tight community, but everyone who can adapt to its' style will have no problem whatsoever fitting right in.
What I really admire, however, is the fact that the Moderators ALL stand by one another. If they do have issues - I'm sure its handled behind closed doors. They present a united front. There is nothing worse than a Mod making his / her opinion against a decision made by any member of the Mod Squad public. It gives members the perfect loophole to abuse a current fragile situation should push come to shove.
A pat on the back and a "Job Well Done!" for each and every single one of you. The accolades thus far are very well deserved.

108/F/Somewhere, United Kingdom Join Date: Apr 2005 | I have always thought that the moderators on this site are really exceptional. I think the best thing about you guys is that you are invisible. We all know that you're mods, but you're still friendly and still members of the site... you guys haven't disappeared off to your mod forum n TFS and stayed there. Also, if something occurs on the site that would be considered offensive or crude... then you guys handle it quickly and efficiently. For instance when something innappropriate is written, you will PM the member who's post needs to be edited and inform them of this simply so they know what has happened. I haven't really been a member of other sites but, from what other people have said - TFS is probably one of the only places that accepts people into the community instantly. Every mod is carefully chosen and each mod is excellent. Thank you for making TFS into such a community, I didn't think it was possible to sincerely get to know someone over the internet, without having ever met them. But I honestly and truely think I know a couple of people on this site better than I knowpeople who I've met in real life. I've made some good friends here, I honestly didn't believe you could meet people over the internet. But then, before TFS; my experience was of chat rooms and slimy and sleazy places like that. I think the mods are a main part of the reason that TFS s the way it is. Firstly is the members, we all love it here and want to keep it a nice place, hense members who love the site are unlikely to abuse the TOS, purely because they don't want to. But also, because if there is any trouble; which I am aware does happen probaly much more often than I am aware of, the mods are there asap to sort it out and make sure not too many people are aware of the problem. You guys handle things so well that most people probably aren't aware that anything bad ever happens on tfs. I know you guys have a lot of work to do, but I also know you handle it fantastically. *round of applause*

41/M/Back for now, United Kingdom Join Date: Dec 2005 | I've made my feelings clear in a couple of pm's to mods, but what the heck - here is a bit of a more public more brief overview
I had some problems with a different so-called forum which I won't name of course, because it doesn't deserve such accolade. On there, one very unpleasant and probably psychologially ill member decided to attack some members, one of them was a friend of mine, and after I told her to cut it out - she started attacking me. She made up lie after lie after lie, accusing me of some of the filthiest things imaginable - all this from someone on the other side of the world, who doesn't know me, who will (thankfully) never meet me. A year has nearly gone, and that psychotic troll is still by all accounts whinging and making stories up - so I am told. Seems some people have no lives outside the internet! Well the point to mentioning this, is that the so-called admin and mods on this site did absolutely nothing to prevent these attacks, the result of my sending in a load of evidence to the site owner was my account being banned No matter - I wouldn't ever go on that nasty place again, most threads seemed to be trolls attacking people anyway.
A load of us from there, in disgust set our own site up - still going well.
After a friend (Randy1) told me about TFS, I thought it seemed really friendly, and very different to that experience. I've always been a bit worried the certain trolls may find their way here, but really it's unlikely let's face it, and besides, I have no doubt that not only would the mods come down on her like a ton of bricks, but other members wouldn't tolerate it either. It's great how on the odd occasion trolling has happened, the rest of us have as one ignored them or given them contempt.
I think that what you have built - what WE all have here is a community site. I wouldn't at first, but this is the only place I'd post so many pictures on, and the fact I'm now doing the occasional blogging on here is further proof that I know this place is cool - add to that the fact I've introduced some friends - there is no way on earth I would do that if I didn't think this was a good place.
The mods on here do a fantastic job. Large sites are always going to get the odd troll passing through, intent in their sad lives on causing trouble - and the mods here make sure their visit is a short one - and that the door doesn't hit their a** on the way out
Well there you go - almost a testimony rather than just feedback. Hope I haven't bored anyone with that
