I built a Computer not too long ago, assigned the correct jumper settings, and configured the bios boot order to boot from CD, then Removable Devices, then Network Boot, and last Hard Drive. The problem i'm having is that the bios won't detect my CD drive or my bootable flash drive. The system boots to my formatted hard drive. I want to install Windows XP on my system but was wondering how I can make my CD drive visible and configure it to boot from CD so I can install Windows onto my hard drive. I've been at configurations for 30 hours now, and I'm still at square one.

I built the system from scratch so the board doesn't have any configurations. I had to set both the hard drive and DVD-RW Drive as Primary and Secondary Masters. It all had to be configured manually.

First of all if you built your puter from scratch try to get some data specs from your motherboard and your harddrive ,second when you go into cmos config your sys to boot fromyour cd-rom drive and have your EBD= emergency boot disk in and the system will boot from a choice of the three devices A:drive , c:drive, d:drive , D: drive which is the option you should pick and walla you can install your OS , now that will be $99.99 for my consultant data services thank you kindly.

Is there a way to create a system boot disk for Flash drives. The computer doesn't have a floppy drive. Also, I can't get it to boot from CD-ROM now, even when the boot order is in place. It goes straight to hard drive, and that's the last boot device.
