I had to go to the ER last night and they gave me percocet...

Now I have uncontrollable itching, blurred vision and my husband said I'm slurring my words and not making much sense.

Anyone know anything about this drug?
Is this normal?
What should I do?

I think you may have a drug allergy... best to quickly go back to the ER and have it seen to.

As far as I know... percocet does not have the side effects that you mentioned.

I'll do that... when the husband wakes up - I think it's best not to drive.

yeah i would definitly get your self back to the hospital

take some Benedryl and just don't take the Percocets anymore...
it does sound like an allergy but they won't do anything else for you at the ER.

The only thing that matches your description would be withdrawal symptoms... which can occur if you suddenly stop taking your dosage of Percocet after taking it for some time. But since you say that you have only been prescribed yesterday, it must be an allergic reaction.

Please don't leave it untreated... I've seen the consequences of drug allergies enough for it to scare me.

Never mix Percocet and ANY amount of alcohol !

Look at this website and if you are still suffering symptoms get down to your dispensing hospital ASAP !
