Is she inviting me in to have sex, or to make love?
I don't believe that there is anything wrong with sex for the sake of sex, as long as both parties are consentual and have an understanding.
I personally prefer the latter, I find it more fulfilling.
Love is not something that I believe can be determined on a first date, and if a girl wanted to only make love and not just have sex, if I had feelings for her, I would respect her wishes and wait.
If on the other hand, she was just saying wait because she wanted to be in control, I probably wouldn't see her again.
Very complex question.

The first night for sex? Hmmm, that has happened to me twice. We hit it off and hooked up for some lengthy relationships. So, I didn't see those as any problems... I just thought (at the time) that I was irresistible and they were hot for me. All the rest were wait (which I don't mind) for a determined amount of time, then when the time was right, we got to it hot and heavy. My current wife was about a month wait but of course, we're both older and mature now.
The difference is as I see it, is the way the females were raised. I didn't mind either way. I guess I'm a patient guy.

Yes, it is rather cliche. The point I was trying to make was that there is sex for the sake of sex, and sex for the sake of love. But I'm sure you understood that.
