How do you get rid of hiccoughs?

Some people take a sip of water, others do the paper bag approach, I myself take a spoonful of sugar and suck on it until it all dissolves.

The weirdest one I've heard is drinking water through a napkin

I hold my breath for 5 seconds then take five big gulps of milk before breathing again. It works for me everytime.

To get rid of my hiccups, I take a long drink of water, and then hold my breath for as long as I can! It is very important to not take any breaths after you take a drink though. It works for me every time!
