Well its a rotten tooth, so I know it has to go.

But it made me think of other times in the past when i've had an infected tooth. And I had to share this home-cure.

You know how dentists say lemons will take the enamel off your teeth?

Well what they neglect to tell you -- is that lemon juice is the best anti-biotic you could put on an infected tooth, in the world (I'd bet).

If you feel an "impacted" tooth-ache, or infected tooth-ache coming on, eat a lemon, and get that juice wrapped around that sore area as much as you can. It will KILL that bacteria, and your infection will go away.

I've tried this, and done this many times in the past, and it has always worked. Nip it in the bud.

The thing that gets me, is you always get the tooth-ache on friday, and you got to suffer thru the pain until Monday. omg. there is nothing worse.

Ok, just thought I'd share. File it away for later use. It works.

I always used whiskey to numb the pain. that's a good idea though.

Alcohol will numb the pain -- temporarily, but better to get at the "root" of the problem and solve it, doncha think?

As for the "whiskey" thing... that comes in real handy when you got to pull one. Done that too.

You can't be serious, AlexKidd.

Do some reading -- if you are. It's a fact. The acid content in it is so high, nothing can survive it. haha.

(I'm gonna squirt lemon juice in your eye if you keep arguing with me...)

I always heard that if you put a whole clove on the tooth it will help with a toothache.

I tried that clove remedy once, didn't work. No wait, maybe it was oregano... i don't remember. I love beer.

There are some other suggestions for home remedys for tooth aches, but really, the lemon juice one always worked for me.

It would be good to get some other remedys for this post tho.

Orange juice, Orange juice, Orange juice. (or oranges).

If there's a flu bug or a cold going round... keep on drinking that juice.

Vitamin C is one of the best things for your immune system there is. Problem is, the body doesn't store Vitamin C, so you have to keep it coming.

i'm looking at a book here and it depends on what kind of toothache you have

asprin and well-padded ice bags will give some relief to a cavity caused toothache

mild toothach often responts to warm oil of cloves, if its a cavity, take a toothpick or a wooden matchstick and dab it into the cavity

zink oxide oil opultice a thick paste you mix from zinc oxide powder and oil of cloves. press a glob of this mixture into the cavity area with your fingertip then clean off the excess from the surrounding area with the blunt end of a toothpick

if its an abcessed tooth see your dentist, in the meantime well-padded ice bags help

if you have soft teeth,

brush your teeth with flouride, avoid as much sugar as you can for 6 - 8 weeks, and rinse your mouth with a flouride mouthwash after meals and if you have anything sweet, even a drink.

"is consciousness an illusion? i dunno because on one hand things are similar to everyone in one way to the other...on the other hand reality is percieved differently to everyone. they say that there is no reality, only perception. but there has to be a reality or no one would have the same views as someone else. so life could be but a dream but reality of a dream can be severely distorted by the affector (people you hang out with) as well as the affectee because they switched roles and are therefore playing both therefore the perception is reality and reality is perception, thus reality being reality in its own. and consciousness both being and not being reality and consciousness and perception. therefore it could be an illusion we call life. and if we wake and are no more, we will know."
