Looking at maybee moving to France and opening up a bed and breakfast.

I want all year round custom so I want somewhere for winter sports as well as the usual summer retreats. Near a small town.

Anybody done much in France anybody got any ideas?

Im asking for a heads up here because I am going to have to spend the next month twalling the bloody net to find a decent location. Then another month finding a couple of places to visit and I thought someone on here might know.

It would really depend on how much you have to spend mate. you could possibly look at the pyrnees as that would cover off skiing in the winter and in the summer your sat on the med. Otherwise the only other real place to look is by the Alps but both are really expensive!

hmmmm my brother would know he lived there for a while, most people in the UK tend to settle in Normandy and around that area. My brother loves the south of France, that bit by italy where you can dive and ski in the winter and have the glorious sunshine in the summer.

brittany is like Devon only its rains ( A lot) I haven't really been to most places in France apart from Brittany. But they have a nice beachs and the staff in Mac,donnals smoke cigars and the smell gets into the burgers

Well I will have 40 grand as a deposit on the sale of my house and about 70 tied up in hers which we will rent out. So with a mortgage I am looking at about 500k euros. So you reckon the Alps then? I did look at the midi pyrynees on a site earlier and it looked feaisble.

I think there is generally more attraction to the Alps due to Mont Blanc but I think it would generally be more expensive to buy but in return you can then charge more for your rooms!

P.S We better get a TFS discount
