Alright, so I'm almost 18 in like another month or so, and I am really considering getting a breast augmentation done. My breasts are a 36AA right now. I feel that it would really help my confidence. My boyfriend doesn't want me to get it done. He's not actively trying to get me to not do it, but he's kind of indifferent. He doesnt think I need it basically.

I think not only would it improve my physical appearance, it would help with my over-all self-esteem. I'm just wondering how many woman out there would be willing to do it. I've done quite a bit of research, and for the most part, I like what I hear. I wouldnt get them done a huge amount. I just want to be a full C cup, I think.

So how many woman would/have done it? If not then are you against it? Why?

Im not a girl, but personally I wouldnt do plastic surgery of any kind. If you yourself aint happy with what you look like it's not plastic surgery you need it's a psychiatrist.

i am small chested, and i dont care, i agree with jmo.

i would never have any kind of plastic surgery done, you should be happy with who you are, i mean everyone is different and flat chested people are just as lovely as big chested people.

it is kind of sad that it takes people to alter their apperance just to feel good about their selfs.

in the end bigger boobs arent going to make anyone happy, a selfesteem problem is deeper then just apperance.

To be a C Cup again would be fantastic. I'm a double D. With every pregnancy I grew at least 1 cup size. While pregnant, OMG. With the twins I went from being a B cup to a double D, then I had them and went back to a C Cup, I was a C for 9 years then I fell pregnant again, I went from a C cup to a F cup (stands for f*&%ing huge) now I'm a double D. So I would get surgery, but for a reduction though.

I think you should wait until you are at least 25 to make a decision. Women don't stop fully growing and developing until about then. I am about to turn 25 and in the past 2 years I have gained I think about a cup size. It's not healthy to get any sort of plastic surgery until your body is totally grown. You never know, you might grow another cup size before your body is finished with what it's doing. I don't think it's a good idea.

Boobs and self esteem have nothing to do with each other. You're obviously unhappy with yourself for other reasons and having bigger boobs is only going to be a temporary fix.

I have a daughter who had to undergo breast augmentation, ( well I use the words had to very loosley) but she has tubular breast disease and she ended up with a D cup on one side and an A cup on the other. Her boobs had no chance of ever evening out and we discovered this very early on when she was like 12. After several years of exploring her options she decided that this was what was best for her. It's not as cut and dried as you think and you should really check into the ins and outs of this before you have it done.

If so its entirely up to you, most people i know had it done are very happy with them and didn't go on to have loads of other surgeries or turn into freaks.

As long as you are keeping to a realistic size for your frame then cool Recovery is very painful and with any surgery there is an element of risk which you must consider.

Best thing is to speak to a Specialist and see what he/she thinks is right for you

I think you are the only one who can make that decision, but I certainly think you should wait a few years before you make it. Just because you are technically an adult at 18 doesn't mean you are ready to make such a big decision. There are a lot of decision I made at a young age that I never would have made now. Once you are out of high school you will find that some of your body image issues won't be as big.

Well it's up to you. I personally think breast augmentation is stupid and unnatural. You should really be happy with just yourself, especially if your boyfriend is happy with you too, sounds like the type of guy who accepts you for you, which is very important and very rare in this world.

But as I said before, it's all up to what you want.

i was also thinking about cosmetic surgery and i decided to research it loads first. i have looked on hundreds of websites and the only one i found to provide any useful info was the harley medical group. you can download loads of free factsheets and you get entered into free jimmy choo competitions too!!! there are pictures you could show your boyfriend to show him it might be ok too.

Same story as above. I was a C until my pregnancy. Now I am a DD and am researching a reduction. IMO...it's your body and you have the right to do with it as you please. Please remember that you are young and your body will change more in the next ten years. See a doctor and take a close listen.
